Anna Silk

Anna Silk is Canadian actress that is most well-known in Canada by her character in the film Bo. Silk was produced in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk is the daughter of Peter, an academic and Peter Silk, who was an actor and director. He was also a playwright, educator and Director of Drama, St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her first memories of playing rehearsals with her mom. Silk created a variety of commercials when she was still in the midst of her childhood. She completed her studies at St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas staged two plays in the early years: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk moved to Toronto for further development of her acting profession in November 1999. Later, she spent the next decade, she moved in the following decade to Los Angeles California. She met her new husband, Seth Cooperman, at an actor's training held in Los Angeles in 2007. The couple got married in December of 2009 in a civil wedding ceremony. They renewed their vows on April 10, 2011 in Fredericton, after the woman changed her religion to Judaism. Silk got a baby who was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13 2013. Levi Aaron is her second child, and was born on 13th of May 2016. Silk's television work includes her role in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland and she received the Gemini Awards nod in 2009. The role was assigned to her of Bo Dennis the succubus on the Canadian show Lost Girl in 2009. Silk was pregnant during final production of the season 3 finale, and revealed this to viewers on Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on 6 January 2013. On June 4, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the start of production on the fourth season. On the 20th of June 2013 Silk tweeted that she was back to the set of the show. Her portrayal of Bo together with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as same-sex lovers in the show Lost Girl was named one of the all-time Top TV Couples from CNN (Cable News Network) and named the Top Television Couple in 2013. The same was done by E! Entertainment Television. Because of Silk's popularity Silk has gained a large internet following via social media.
