Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the director of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name has been recognized for her pioneering work in studying child witnesses and eyewitness memories within legal contexts. Professor Goodman publishes widely has received many grants and has received several international and national distinctions. She has advised a variety of government agencies and governments around the world about policies and studies pertaining to the treatment of children victims in the justice system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a Fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 55). She is a founding member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
